| i personally meet Gene few years ago his whole inspire for the necris skins came from Loque in UT99 GOTY he not only inspired me and mentor'd me but found a good friend you will be missed ... GOD SPEED YOU TO A BETER LIFE GENE for tomarrow is another day! |

He was a kind and wonderful person. He was also an amazing skinner... he had a lot of problems in life though, and unfortunately they got the best of him.
Gene was the creator of Jarhead (UT99) or more recognizable, the Necris Skins for UT2k3. He committed suicide on May 11th around 1:00pm when he jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge.
He was mine and several people's mentor, and has made me really work hard to become a better artist. Unfortunately, his mother, Ann had passed away on October 2001, and I know as much to say that that a part of him was never the same. He was recently laid off by Capcom, and was having relationship problems. From what I've known also, he was having issues with money too. I wish there was a hand he could reach to. Gene we all wish you well with your mother in the afterlife. R.I.P. |

Although I just knew you as FreekBoyG, I'm sorry for all those who are affected by this dreadful episode. Our Gaming community won't forget neither the skinner nor the grat person you were, Gene!
