1. Hi, tell us a little bit about you . Where are you from ? What are you doing ? (School , Work etc.) How old are you ?
I'm soon to be 23 years old, and I live in New Mexico. Yes its a part of the United States, no I don't need a passport, or have to pay international shipping from elsewhere in the USA. (running joke among New Mexicans) I've been working on Starsiege : 2845 for the past 2 years. (shameless plug) I was really quite integral to the effort for quite a while as it was based on unreal technology (I live and breathe unreal), but we have switched to torque recently, and so my knowledge base is much less than it was. I'm currently between jobs, and taking the opportunity to re-investigate college, and throw my website and resume to just about every game company that is hireing currently, in the mad hope that one of them will like what they see and decide to pay me to make wonderous works of realtime art for them.

2. When do you started skinning and for which game?
I started really skinning with Starsiege in about 1998 or 1999. I did a full skinpack for our squad, which were basically a bunch of recolors with new logos, but it worked and was a starting point. I also had made a few custom sprites for Doom back in the day.

3. Do you remember your first skin ?
First thing I did was some ammo box replacement for doom when I dabbled with editing that game. First real skin was for starsige. Made a personal skin for my herc. Was gold with my squad logo on it.

4. Can you tell us, for which games you have made customskins?
Mainly the unreal series. Its my pet game engine. I did some custom buildings for Sim City 2000 but never released them. I've built models and skinned them or a quake 3 mod based on starship troopers the movie.
For a long time I was focused on being a cinematic type 3d artist rather than a game artist.

5. Which Skin's/Model's you have made for UT/UT2003?
Gannondorf
A remake of the Rankin character from UT99 for UT2k4
Seyiji's Sailor moon and Kid , the new versions have yet to be released but their Ut2k4 versions will be my work.
I also made a personal skinpack for my collage roomates and I for UT99 using digital photos, but that has since been lost to a hd crash or the sands of time.

6.What skin/model are you working on at the moment?
Quite a few actually. While my game project is always forefront, and I can't tell you what I'm working on there, (NDA's and all) I can tell you I have several models in the works that I would really like to finish.
Skins: Primarily the UC2 for UT2k4 pack. I'm starting on Apophis and Anubus tonight.
Among the models I have going are Stitch, of disney fame, Alucard from Helsing, Lord Alberto from Giant Robo, I'm Animating Cheapalert's Firebrand, porting the Penny Arcade Cardboard Tube Samurai models from q3 to Ut2k4 by request of the original author, and about half a dozen other things I have yet to get much done on.

7. How much time do you spend on a great skin/model?
Depends on the level of detail really, but I average/expect a 24 hour setup. 8 Hours to model, 2 to unwrap, 10 to skin, and 4 to rig to a skeleton.

8. Is there anything you would like to say to the community?
The BUF is great. Very nice people on the whole, But I have to say you are all TOO EASILY IMPRESSED. :P If any skinners or modelers here really want to see how their skills stand up to the industry standards and nitpicky critiques, check out polycount. Carefull they are brutally honest. New artists and noobs alike, stay away.

9. Where can we see your work? (Webpage)
My current portfolio can be found at http://jodinewton.150m.com/vailias There is lots more than just 3d work and skins there so take a look.
