1. Hi, tell us a little bit about you . Where are you from ? What are you doing ? (School , Work etc.) How old are you ?
Folks call me Cortez. I'm 40 years old. I'm from America. Right now I'm a pornographer by trade, but I've been a preacher and a soldier and a biker and a few other unsavory things. A nasty knee injury in '97 laid me up for a few months and got me into computers.

2. When do you started skinning and for which game?
1998. Duke Nukem 3D. I did a little sprite editing on some of the characters, though I guess that's not technically skinning.

|
3. Do you remember your first skin ?
Probably something to give the strippers better hooters.

|
4. Can you tell us, for which games you have made customskins?
UT99, 2003/4, and I did some of the skins for the Lawdogs Mod.

5. Which Skin's/Model's you have made for UT/UT2003?
I've only ever done personal skins, the ones I use in Lan games with my friends. I like to see my friends' faces when I kill them. I was lucky enough that the Frostbite model was already an almost-dead ringer for me, and the voice even sounded like mine.
I posted some screenshots in a few forums, and enough folks asked for them that I decided to release the Cortez skin pack here at Skin City.

6.What skin/model are you working on at the moment?
None to speak of, but you never know when I might get the itch to make one.
|
|
7. How much time do you spend on a great skin/model?
About a week on the basics. One face skin, one body skin. After that I can crank out recolors and variants fairly quickly, sometimes five or six in a night depending on how extensive the variant.

8. Is there anything you would like to say to tell the community?
Yes. When you kids out there turn forty, you'll figure out why us old guys laugh at you. And then you'll laugh, too.
