1. Hi, tell us a little bit about you . Where are you from ? What are you doing ? (School , Work etc.) How old are you ?
Hello yourself. :) I'm 23 and graduated from college just recently with a major in Japanese language. Instead of smartly moving off somewhere that I can make effective use of this, I'm still in a small town in central Washington trying to figure out what to do with myself. A friend and I are putting a computer game together, which is ideally the direction I'd like to go in, but it's still a bit early to say how things will turn out..

2. When do you started skinning and for which game?
My first skin was for Unreal Tournament 2003 and done last fall.

 |
3. Do you remember your first skin ?
Yes. It was a robot character that I'd been drawing since high school, and therefore a sort of private character that I consider important to myself for some reason, so I never uploaded him anywhere. It was also the first thing I modelled outside of built-in tutorials, so it was more of a learning experience than anything else. In the same way, making a skin of him was just a test to see how I could get the character into the game. I used the default character animations and consequently his upper arms were frequently sucked into his chest. :)

4. Can you tell us, for which games you have made customskins?
Only Unreal Tournament 2003.

 |
5. Which Skin's/Model's you have made for UT/UT2003?
Publicly available are Beluga and Barnacle. I hope people enjoy them.
|
 |
6.What skin/model are you working on at the moment?
I'm currently not working on any models, but I'm still full of ideas. :)
|
 |
7. How much time do you spend on a great skin/model?
Define "great?" :) Since I've only just started, I'm quite slow and I don't keep track of the time. It would be a lot faster if I didn't bother with custom animations, but I think they're essential to make the characters more interesting.

8. Is there anything you would like to say to tell the community?
Being so new at this (and more of a lurker than a participant) I don't know that I have any business addressing anybody. I have to say thanks for all the helpful tutorials out there, and all the talented modellers who've inspired or helped me when I was having trouble. I really like models that are unique and interesting, so that's what I've tried to do with the ones I've released. I hope they don't clash with your existing collection too much, even though that was kind of what I was going for in the first place. :)
