1. Hi, tell us a little bit about you . Where are you from ? What are you doing ? (School , Work etc.) How old are you ?
I was born in Livingston, NJ in 73'.
I have moved to several different states in this order:
New Jersey -to- Texas -to- New Mexico -to- Florida -to- New Jersery -to- Massachuesetts -to- New Jersey -to- Illinios
I went to college at William Paterson Universiy in New Jersey where I studied Fine Arts, with a concentration in computer animation.
After leaving college, I had a piece of paper (Diploma), and I had NO idea how to find work in 3D.
I took the initiative, and I called every 3D studio in NYC, and was hired as an intern at Curious Pictures.
I didn't get paid for the first few months and my first duties were to fetch coffee and deliver packages(kinda lame, but you have to pay your dues!!).
After a few months they hired me as a Pre-visualization Layout artist for a HBO kids show.
My first job was animating 3D cameras in Maya to match storyboards.
I eventually left Curious Pictures and took a job at Hypnotix in New Jersey.
This was my first videogame job creating game cinematics in Maya.
After working in videogames for a year I decided to try my luck in feature film.
I landed a job at Kleiser-Walczak in Massachuesetts working on a ride film for BUSCH Gardens, and eventually worked on Jet Li's "The One."
So I finally got my name on a feature film, and decided I wasn't to excited about film.
I realized that my whole life I have been playing videogames, so why was I wasting my time in film???
I took five months off, and taught myself how to model and texture polygon game characters.
I can remeber researching polygon character modeling, and thinking "There is NO WAY I will ever be able to do this!!!!"
I spent everyday, EVERYDAY, for five months reading everything I could find about character modeling.
It paid off, and I was offered a job by Volition Inc.
I now live in Champaign, IL where I am working for Volition Inc. as a character artist for Summoner2.
