1. Hi, tell us a little bit about you . Where are you from ? What are you doing ? (School , Work etc.) How old are you ?
Hi my name is Huschang Etemadi-Zanganeh. I am from Germany.
I just recently finished my studies of Graphic Design and I will start searching for a job. I am 30 years old.
I wasted some years playing in a punk/heavy metal band, but it was fun. I am still playing bass in this band, but we burried our dream
of becoming famous rock stars ;-)

2. When do you started skinning and for which game?
I start skinning nearly two years ago, it was after the release of UT, which is the only computer game so far, I am doing custum stuff for.
When I saw the first skins on www.unreality.org/painfuldetail I wanted to learn to do the same. Before I saw these skins I only dreamed of doing
something like that, but I thought it would be so difficult to do art for computer games, that only some professionals can do it.
But these amazing skins where done by fans like me. This was a signal for me to do the same.
I started to search for some tutorials and find some great info and support in the UT, HalfLife and Quake communities, Thanx to Shane Caudle
for his inspiring work on UT and because of his great tutorial on his site, I learned pretty fast how to do skins for this game.

3. Do you remember your first skin ?
Yes, it was my first domina skin for the female soldier model. I still like it, although there are some parts I would do differently now.

|
4. Can you tell us, for which games you have made customskins?
UT is the only game I made skins for, I simply had not time enough to do skinning for Quake 3 or other games, because after my third skin I started to learn
how to model and animate low poly 3D models. When you can do custom models for a game you have much more freedom to realize your ideas. You are not bound anymore
to the shape of the original game models and custom animations emphasize the character of a model too.

5. Which Skin's/Model's you have made for Unreal Tournament?
I made domina skins 1 to 3, I imported two Quake 3 models (Connie and julie Strain) by Vebjorn Strommen (Anarchy Online), I made two custom models (Sergeant and Ponygirl)
for Ut from scratch (mesh, animations and skins are done by me completely) but I didn´t release them, because I think I could do better stuff.

6.What skin/model are you working on at the moment?
Now I am working on some custom models for a fantasy UT mod called "Ultima Unreal" http://creep.gcpro.de the first model will be a smith, the second will be a guard. Some other models will follow.

|
7. How much time do you spend on a great skin/model?
This is hard to tell, I am doing it always besides other work for some hours in the evening. I would say, for a skin I need around 2 weeks, but a model can take more than 1 or 2 months.
There are so many details you have to care for and you new tricks to do this job better every day.

|
8. Do you want to say something to the community?
First of all, I want to thank everybody out there who spend so much time and work in writing tutorials about skinnig and modeling and other agme related stuff. Without you I would still
only dreaming of creating custom material for computer games. Furthermore I want to thank all the people who support this community by spending so much time for it, for example; running game
related internet sites, writing critiques and downloading our custom mods, maps, skins and models.

|
9. Can you imaging, making skins for other games like Unreal2 in the future?
I definately will, maybe "Ultima Unreal" will become an Unreal2 Mod, we will see.
|
|
10. Where can we see your work? (Webpage)
Well, my last homepage on UTSkins.com is dead and gone, but there will be a new one in the future. Until then, you can visit this site http://creep.gcpro.de to see what I am doing. Thanx.
