1. Hi, tell us a little bit about you . Where are you from ? What are you doing ? (School , Work etc.) How old are you ?

Hi :-) I'm Liam and I live in the Republic Of Ireland. 36yrs old at last count. Over the years I've worked for computer companies in Ireland usually in technical and supervisory roles. I did some work for an online service provider also. Most recently I've moved more into retail sales and management. I expect I'll be doing something different a year from now, probably abroad.
2. When do you started skinning and for which game?

I started skinning quite recently in December 2003 for UT2003 and quickly got addicted... Guess I'll be doing it for some time to come as I'm still learning.
3. Do you remember your first skin ?

My first skin was based on the Malcolm character... I just changed the colours and never released it. Later I binned that and completely changed it into 'Hero' my first. Not that long ago! That skin seemed so much like work at the time but it's gotten so much easier as I've done more and now it's just fun.
4. Can you tell us, for which games you have made customskins?

None other than UT2003. If I like the character/vehicle models in UT2004 I'll do it for them too, no doubt.
5. Which Skin's/Model's you have made for UT/UT2003?

HERO skin for UT2003 (Released December 2003)
ELITE skin for UT2003 (Released December 2003)
BLOOD skin for UT2003 (Released January 2004)
DIESEL skin for UT2003 (Released January 2004)
ROGUE skin for UT2003 (Released February 2004)
6.What skin/model are you working on at the moment?

As of today none, though next week I could be submitting another. That's the way it goes. If I'm in the mood I'll do one. I'm gonna do a texture set just full of textures, special fx and stuff which I can use on the new ones - That's my first priority. Then I'll look at the UT2004 demo and see where I wanna go from there :)
7. How much time do you spend on a great skin/model?

On my first I spent about 10hrs total and gradually that time's gone down... I've stuck with the one model (mostly) for that very reason as now I've got most things automated in Photoshop. I'd like to spend more time on them but the need to get a skin finished takes me over and then I just bang it out. My most productive hour is definitely my last because when I see a skin looking the way I want I just can't stop 'til it's done. I was gonna' move onto modelling as I've done CAD and stuff but one look at 3D Studio and then it's tutorials has put me off that for a while. I'd be able to model but doing it well is another thing. I'm a perfectionist by nature and if I can't do it well I won't do it at all.
8. Is there anything you would like to say to tell the community?

Does this mean I'm famous lol. Nah just that it takes a lot of creativity, dedication and time for you guys to do what you do - whether you skin, model, map or whatever. I appreciate this and would like you to know it. Sometimes it's just not said enough, so thanks. Without you there'd be nothing to make a game live long past it's sell by date. Also great sites like SkinCity provide a wonderful forum to show our stuff and I appreciate that too!
